Club Development Information Seminar - 28th August 2010 Aviva Stadium - BOOKED OUT

Wicklow Local Sports Partnership in conjunction with the four Dublin based Local Sports Partnership's will be holding a Club Development Information Seminar for sports clubs from Wicklow & Dublin at the Aviva Stadium, Landsdowne Road, Dublin 4 on Saturday 28th August 2010.

The Club Development Information Seminar is aimed at all sports clubs from counties Wicklow & Dublin and is open to all club administrators, coaches, committee members and volunteers to attend. The event will run from 9.30am-3.45pm and consists of 4 x 1 hour topics which are of relevance to voluntary sports clubs. These topics include:

  • Garda Vetting & Child Protection in Sport
  • Influencing Local Sport
  • Committee Structures, &
  • Roles Fundraising & Grants

Minister for Children, Barry Andrews T.D. will open the Club Development Information Seminar and a number of high profile sporting personalities such as former Olympian and current CEO of the Irish Sports Council, John Treacy and former Olympic gold medallist boxer Michael Carruth will be in attendance to address club delegates. Delegates attending the Seminar will also be treated to a tour of the new Aviva Stadium.

The event is being supported by a number of sponsors, who have come on board to lend their support, such as McSport, Locallotto.ie, Sportsdelta, Pulse Medical Ltd, O'Driscoll O'Neill & The Wheel. 

The cost of attending the Club Development Information Seminar is €20 per person and includes lunch, an information pack and a tour of the Aviva Stadium.
