Results

The weekend was a success with every player getting competitive badminton matches. There were over 130 matches played with 8 courts running from 10am- 5.30pm on Saturday and 5 courts from 10.30am-2.30pm on Sunday. I would like to thank the President of Badminton Ireland, Mrs. Breda Connolly, who attended on both days to watch the badminton and who presented the medals during the prize giving ceremony.

Thanks to all the players, volunteers, court managers, scorers, coaches, our Referee, our physio Claire, my staff – David & Tom and parents who got involved and helped out throughout the event – it would not have been done without you all! Congrats to our Player of the Tournament – Sean Jackson, due to his effort and great attitude towards competing in the event!

I would like to thank Fingal County Council for their support of the event for the second year in a row, Holiday Inn Express and Bewley’s Dublin airport Hotels for accommodation/transport, the staff at ALSAA sports centre & ALSAA Bowl for a great night on Saturday (with good pizza so I hear!) and the Olympic Council of Ireland for their mini bus.

Scotland’s 4 Nations Championships 2011. Best of Luck to all.
